Mountain View Families,
March winds and April showers bring May flowers!! Spring is right around the corner. At least the sun comes up earlier and stays out longer! All that means that we will want to be outside more often! We encourage our teachers to take advantage of our Outdoor Classroom and outside learning opportunities because we must continue to work hard on LEARNING!! We will end the 3rd grading period on March 22nd. Which means we are three-fourths of the way through this school year!
March holds lots of exciting events: field trips to the J.A. Walker Center for each grade level, St Patrick’s Day Social on March 17th, and our 3rd Quarter PBIS Reward Day on March 22. There are two teacher work days to plan for: March 23 and 24. Then, on March 27 and 28, the MVES Drama Club will present Hansel and Gretel at the Stone Center (more details to come!) Enjoy each day! Don't wish time away! It will fly by on its own!

PBIS continues to encourage improvement in our attendance percentages. Our third quarter goal is 93% for our students to earn a Spring Spectacular event with fun activities. If we continue to improve, we hope to hit that 93% goal. We need everyone's help though to reach our 4th quarter goal of 94%! We are going to have to work harder to improve our attendance for that fun activity. You can help us earn that reward by coming to school every day!
Our next PBIS Social is on March 17 - A Luck of the Irish Dance & Festivities from 3:30-5:30. A letter will be coming home soon. We will have concessions, dancing, St. Patrick's Day items for sale, and games for students to enjoy at the social. The cost of admission is $6 which includes a water, slice of pizza, and 3 games. Students can pre-pay for an additional punch card to play 10 more games. The punch cards are $5 for 10 games and can be purchased at the social or by pre-pay. We look forward to a lucky and fun evening at our last PBIS Social for the year!
Remember our next hat day opportunity will be March 31 for $1. Wear those hats and help PBIS raise money for our attendance rewards.
Thank you for supporting PBIS!
