Meet the Administrators
A Message from the Principal
Dear Dragon Families,
I am honored to serve as your principal for the 2026-2027 school year. This year we our theme is Power Up the Learning! We are focused on doing our best every single day to build relationships and work hard in the classroom. We want every child to love school and have a job at school. Dragons have the best VIEW. We value ourselves and others, are always improving with a growth mindset, empower ourselves and others by taking ownership of our education, and we always make wise choices.
I began as a teaching assistant at Mountain View back in 2008. I also taught at Mountain View, have served as an Assistant Principal, and this is my fifth year as principal. My husband and I live in the eastern part of the county and have three beautiful children.
This year my number one goal is to be in classrooms. If you call or come by please note that if I am in a classroom a message will be taken and I will get back with you as soon as possible. It is so important that I am in your child's classroom to ensure the best instruction is happening every single day.
Here's to a wonderful year of learning at Mountain View Elementary School!

A Message from the Assistant Principal
Welcome to the New School Year!
Dear Students, Families, and Community Members,
Welcome to another exciting school year at Mountain View Elementary School—where we truly have the best VIEW!
As your Assistant Principal, I am delighted and privileged to partner with our incredible staff, dedicated families, and inspiring students. Our goal every day is to nurture a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where every student feels valued, supported, and challenged to reach their fullest potential.
School is more than just a place to learn academic skills—it is a community where we build character, foster curiosity, and support one another. We believe that a strong partnership between home and school is the foundation of student success, and we encourage you to stay connected and involved throughout the year.
Please explore our website for important updates, event calendars, and resources. My door is always open, and I look forward to working together to make this year our best one yet!
A Little About Me
On a personal note, I live in the Mulberry community with my husband and our fur babies (dogs, cats, a rabbit, and horses!). I absolutely love being outside—whether I'm swimming, playing basketball, or participating in other sports or gardening. When I'm not outdoors, you can usually find me with a great book!
I am so excited to grow alongside your children this year.
Warm regards,
Christy E. Rhoades
